Burlesque performers, rock bands, street dancing, a casino table, standup comedian, raffle and 'waiter' auction ensured the 200 guests enjoyed their evening and dug deep to support the charity set up three years ago to help wounded servicemen and women returning from Afghanistan and Iraq.

The event, held at Kilmarnock's Park Hotel, was organised by Mackenzie
Hall account manager Jamie Law, who works on
Victoria O'Dowd's team at the town centre debt collection company.

Together with colleagues Robert Mathieson, Nicola Kerr, John McLaughlan, Stacy Nimmo and Stephanie Fraser, Victoria and Jamie will be undertaking a skydive in
November for Help for Heroes, and they organised the gala dinner as part'
of their fundraising campaign.

"Each year, Mackenzie Hall sets a charity challenge, raising funds for a
variety of causes both locally and nationally," explained Victoria. "The war
is affecting so many people and their families, including many of our colleagues,
so this year we decided to focus our efforts on Help for Heroes.

"We've been astounded by the support from people and businesses locally
and must thank everyone who donated cash, prizes and their time and everyone who came along and supported us on the night itself.
The dinner was just one part of our fundraising campaign, but its success
means we are very close now to reaching our target of £5000 for this very
worthwhile cause."
Paul Mackenzie, chief executive of Mackenzie Hall, added: "As a business
Mackenzie Hall is committed to providing an encouraging and supportive workplace, and as such we initiate a number of charity and staff
activities throughout the year.
The gala dinner really has topped everything to date, and Victoria and Jamie have done a fantastic job in creating not just a memorable and enjoyable night, but also something which will make a real difference to Help for Heroes in terms of fundraising and awareness building."

Provost Stephanie Young, a guest on the night, said: "The evening was a
great success and raised a good amount of money, every penny of which will go towards helping thosewho have been injured in the line of duty. I hope people will support Mackenzie Hall's next challenge to help them raise even more money for this im portant cause."
